Flash Fiction Friday #2: Biting the Dust!

Okay, let's give another round of Flash Fiction Friday a shot!

Here's the gist. Each week, one of us we'll give you some kind of writing prompt--it won't always be stories, just something to get those creative juices flowing. If you want to participate, just leave your link in the comments and we'll stop by and see your work. Easy, right??

Oh, and relax...this is all in fun. :)

This week's prompt is:

In 300 words or less, write a story beginning with the cliche, "Another one bites the dust."

Flash fiction isn't the easiest thing for me, but it was nice to actually write again after taking an unwanted absence. Check out some of our contributors' blogs, and leave your link in the comments!

The prompt for next Friday is: "In 300 words or less, write a story that begins with 'It's not you, it's me...'"

I'm swamped with work this month, but I'm gonna try to write some flash fiction next month, I swear :) It's a great way to get those creative juices flowing!

LM, I had NO clue what to write until I typed the words on the screen. After that, the story just started to pour out. :)

And you're right, Jennifer--short pieces like this is so helpful for your creativity. I haven't written anything in a while, and now I'm primed and ready to tackle my WIP. :)

I suck at flash fiction, but I'm hoping that this will help me get better. I'm planning on starting next week.

At first I was a little scared of this week's flash fiction, but I think it actually turned out pretty well! (I took some liberties with it, so it might not count?) Thanks for the fun challenge!
