Oh, this one is a fabulous topic for me, indeed!

When it comes to internet distractions, I'm worse than Dug the Dog in the movie, UP! when he sees the Squirrel!

One of my absolute favorite scenes:

Dug: Hi there.
Carl Fredricksen, Russell: [surprised exclamations]
Carl Fredricksen: Did that dog just say "Hi there"?
Dug: Oh yes.
Carl Fredricksen: Whaa!
Dug: My name is Dug. I have just met you, and I love you.
[he jumps up on Carl]
Carl Fredricksen: Wha...
Dug: My master made me this collar. He is a good and smart master and he made me this collar so that I may speak. Squirrel!
[looks to distance for a few seconds]

And in case you need to see it live, here's the clip on YouTube:

I love that scene, Erin.

For everyone listing email as a distraction, if you use gmail, you might want to try Google Notifier: http://toolbar.google.com/gmail-helper/notifier_windows.html

It notifies you when you receive new messages so you don't have to keep checking it or even stay logged in.

Forgot, Mac version of Google Notifier: http://toolbar.google.com/gmail-helper/notifier_mac.html

Thanks for this wonderful meme - I do wonder if I'll be able to manage limiting myself to only 5 distractions ;p

As I check out everyone's blog posts about their distractions, I'm adding more and more procrastination tools to my armoury!

My hopes for a productive working weekend are fading fast ;)

So bookmarking this post. I always stress over languages, especially in the naming process. This definitely helped a lot!

But now I'm also going to be super distracted clicking around to all those links. Haha. Thanks!
